Amyris essential oil, often referred to as West Indian Sandalwood oil, captures the rich, warm aroma reminiscent of traditional sandalwood. Extracted through steam distillation from the bark and branches of the Amyris balsamifera tree, this oil is known for its unique properties. Locally, it is affectionately called candle wood because of its high oil content that allows it to burn like a candle.
